Our first take on a traditional(!?) West Coast style IPA. Loaded with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe, citrus and cantaloupe flavors shine through and are accented with a tint of woody character.

On tap at Watering Hole, pours a clear holden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, plenty of resins, gentle dankness, and crisp biscuity malt to back. Flavour is bright and crisp, with spicy piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Clean and bright, the with a forceful hop character. A bit too seltzery but still quite good.

The canned version I have says 7% so they may have changed the recipe some over the years. Mostly clear golden copper with slight cloudiness and a tall white head. Citrus forward aroma with noticeable pine dankness along with some sweet caramel malts. Medium bodied. Citrus and resin in the flavor with background sweets. Finish is medium and bitter. Lovely stuff.

Weird freaky orange light in Kyoto had me feeling the aliens have landed so... WCB Starwatcher 7% West Coast IPA This beer is becoming one of their regulars, clear orange gold with a thick off-white head and fruity dank aroma plus a full body with a full slick mouthfeel completed the classic west coast IPA impression. The taste is bitter and balanced with rich fruit counterbalanced by semi-dank pine. Really nice stuff. I think this is the 3rd or 4th batch.

Deep golden color. Nice hoppy nose with nectarine, citrus and beautiful crackery maltiness. A lot more tropical fruit in the palate. Modest bitterness, lighter body than most wcipa and bitterness isn’t over the top. Still very approachable. Fairly dry. Well balanced. Really reminds me of GFWCIPA circa 2006. The more I drink the more I like it. Bitterness comes out a bit more as it warms. Wow. I am a fan

Tap at Bungalow. Bright golden color, clear. Zippy, fruity nose, grapefruit, lemon, light troical notes, low malt. Crisp fruity flavor, grapefruit and tropical, crackers. A bit sweet, tangy. Clean. A darn good start.
