Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is big potent sweet rum, oak, caramel malt, soft coconut, toffee, vanilla, raisins. Flavour is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish and a touch of booze. Body is full with a bit sticky mouthfeel. Nice blend of ’Rye Wine’ and Rum, rich and heavy one to sip on.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in November 2016, cellared for almost one-and-a-half years. Slightly hazy, deep ruby. Sweetish, malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, vanilla and a touch of rum. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of molasses, caramel, raisins, vanilla and a touch of rum, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, gently warming and a little boozy finish. Full body, almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, still fairly monotonous.

Almost clear reddish amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a good light creamy sweetness. Sweetish fruity rum. Peculiarly, not overtly rum. But paradoxically, a good fruity liqueur intensity. Smooth finish. Hard to figure but I don’t need to be fully cognisant of what is going on to thoroughly enjoy it!
