Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazy copper with no head. Fairly dry apple skin with a slight chemical note.

Muddy pinkish body and no foam, soft sweet earthy apples and no sign of the high alcohol. Flavour is bitter apple, soft wood notes, no sign of the booze. Medium on the mouth. Not sweet at all but not sure it has a good cider vibe either from the bitterness; probably an acquired taste despite a lot of things going for it.

Tap at Alibi. Deep gold, clear, some bubbles. Caramel apple nose, pie, nice apples, calvados. Very boozy and a bit phenolic, but a sweet apple background with caramel makes it interesting for such a big cider. Too boozy but characterful.

Bottle - Funky apple notes. Clear gold. Funky peel, light bitterness and some wild notes. Very dry.

341 ml bottle. Pours a copper clear copper color with no head. Aromas of wood and baked apples with a little spice. Flavors of green oak barrels, tart unripe apples, and light resin. Slightly warm but does not give away the 11%. Great stuff.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy copper with a tiny ring of white head. Aroma of monolithic dry apples - not much else. Flavour of extremely dry apples, dryness and more dryness - sort of leaves a sugar residue feel on the teeth, though I'm not sure if this is simply due to the dryness. ABV is concealed very well. Decent.

Plastic bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Golden color; no head persistence. Aroma of apple juice, alcohol, chemicals, light hazelnuts and very light Chinese Market; paint remover too. The mouthfeel is dry, so dry like nothing tasted before, and leading to a very dry and astringent finish; there is some acidity, shades of fruits, but the flavor overall is very difficult to accept, weak flavor and aggressive mechanics. I wasted 6 bucks.

Bottle. Golden with a low initial foam layer. Wooden, spicy, (cardemom, muscat) fermenting apple nose. Fairly dry and lightbodied, peppery spiced notes dominate, some berrylike notes appear, a bit alcohol burn. Almond and old apple aftertaste.

A dark clear amber to brown cider. A pleasant aroma of apple skins, alcohol, and apple pulp. In mouth, a rather wild lactic cider, rather astringent, with light corkyness, and a strong warming alcohol in finish. This reminds me very much of the dry British ciders I had in London, UK in 2005. To be sipped and enjoyed. Merci a Todd, le Capflu!

Pale yellow. Strong alcohol and apple skin aroma with unpleasant note not unlike the brackish sludge at the St. Paul’s Hospital loading dock. Flavour is mainly malic acid. It’s a bit tart, with apple skin and a slight alcohol in the finish. Kind of weak, but definitely the character is rough and scrumpyish.
