Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a medium dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with light dark fruits. Taste is also a mix of chocolate malt with light dark fruits and a watery finish. Body is light for style with good carbonation and no real perceptible alcohol notes. This one may not have aged too well.

A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, light, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light oxydation, OK.

750 ml bottle. Opened a couple days ago then re-corked. Black like ink and flat, just a bit of bubbles. Nose is wood, Chocolate, raisins. Pretty complex. flavor os wood, soy, chocolate syrup, raisins, some coffee. A bit thin, oily, rather flat but that might be the timing. Sweet but not cloying. Reasonably nice stuff, not super interesting, but pretty tasty.

Tap. Pours clear black, medium tan head, dissipates quickly, a bit of lacing. Aroma of ashtray, anise, hints of smoke. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, black jack gum, root beer, hints of smoke, rubber. Medium plus body. Weird.

Sampled from a 25 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy dark brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was cola, dark fruit, cocoa, marzipan, vanilla and cookie dough. The flavor was toasty and woody with cookie dough, vanilla cream and a hint of smoke. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.

Tap, bocktown, nice place. This tapped beer was much better than expected. I was expecting a big bitter impy stout kind of foreign stout thang. Yes, what I found out was this was right up your almost civilized porter style. A well done seven percentor. Slight impy stout nose and its big and black to the eye. Nice lacing. First taste is certainly less rude than most Baltic porters. Pretty civilized and this is especially true once I find out this is a plus seven percentor, I think it hides its alky so well. Can’t really feel the oaked aged bullshit and its civilized. More like a friendly well deserved proper american porter. Mind you, not totally civilized but fer sure neither oaked nor baltic, heheh. Probably one of the better beers I’ve had here today.

10oz pour at Sehkraft pours a murky black with some spitty, off white head. Nose is all molasses and licorice, some yeast, light smoke, some chocolate. Not much barrel happening. Flavor follows, just licorice and molasses and chocolate, light vanilla. Full bodied, sticky, sweet finish. Not much barrel. I missed it.
