Keg at the brewery tap. Pours oily black with a creamy beige head. The aroma holds a lot of ashy roast, some rubber, baking cocoa, scorched earth. Medium sweet flavour with more ashy roast, strong burnt wood bitterness, more scorched earth, dried berries, burnt marshmallows. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, with lots of bittersweet baking cocoa, hearty ash. Robust impy.

On tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome), Colorado Tap Takeover. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino. Naso abbastanza ricco, sentori di cappuccino, cioccolato, melassa. In bocca è cremosa e rotonda, attacco dolce, cioccolatoso, finale amaro caffettoso. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Molto buona.

A deep oily black with a tan head and a great soft chocolate roasty aroma. Medium to full bodied with a raspy body and nice roasty dark chocolate. Really nice.

Dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is burnt brown sugar, kind of foreign stouty with a scorched sirop de Lige note. Thick body, cut by fairly sharp carbo. The carbo undermines some of those sugars, so it walks the line between strong foreign stout and light impy.
