On draft at the alameda county fair. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Aromas of grains with a bit of banana. Flavors are moderately sweet with some balancing hop bitterness.

Very crisp grassy and yellow coloured body with a thin, pure white head that fades fairly quickly, but leaves an ugly lace on the sides. Aroma of very bitter malts with some bread, yeast, grain and alcohol all here, but the bitterness is pervasive here in a bad way. Light to Medium-bodied; Very bready and grassy notes show at first with a lot of dough and herbal, grainy malt notes here that show way more than everything else. Aftertaste shows the grainy and super malt characteristics with a lot of bitterness, no real hop components in the slightest bit without any balance from the sweet or hoppy side, this is pure maltiness with a lot of bready and yeast components as well, but a bit askew. Overall, a pretty overwhelming malty and yeastie beer that shows a lot of pungency, perhaps in a bad way that shows more of a breadiness than anything else without any balance, sweetness or robust qualities - this is purely about the malts and bready yeast without any support. Decent to sample, but not really worth trying to find or pick up here in town. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 07-March-2022 for US$1,67 sampled a few hours later in my hotel room here in [downtown] San Francisco, California on 07-March-2022.

Can on 8th February 2022 in Vino Carta Solana. Nice easy drinking Kölsch, clean and clear light golden body, white crown on top. Mild grainy/malty flavours play with some mini-hop action.

On tap at The Front pith in San Francisco, California. Medium gold pour. Small white head. Light, grainy malt aroma. Flavor mirrors nose. Soft citrus notes with a hint of honey and cut grass. Light bodied with clean, crisp finish.

A strange is a traditional Kolsch glass used in Köln. Fort Point KSA Kölsch 5% Nice looking gold with a thick off-white foam that didn’t linger. The aroma was floral and herbal with underlying grainy notes plus some fruity grape. The taste starts off sweet and somewhat fruity before a raspy carbonation brings in the malt base.

Can @ Beresford Arms. Pours yellow with a white head, lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, light grain, fruit, mild citrus. Flavor is light sweet, malt, grain, fruit, little citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. Clean and crisp. 170718

Clear golden, not much foam. Bready and hint if noble hops. Some pine resins? Bready and grainy flavour, simple but thirst quenching.

nice lemon, fresh wort in the nose. Light body, lemon, modestly hoppy mouth. Dry. Well balanced. Hoppy for the style but very nice
