Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours black with small tan head. The aroma is strong roasted malt, cognac, wood, vanilla, licorice, chicory. Slick body, nice roast, dark fruit, cognac, wood, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

750 ml bottle shared at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Thank you Dylan for bringing this!! Black color with brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruits, caramel, wood, alcohol. Heavy sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Full silky oily body with soft to flat carbonation.

At the Thessaloníki tasting, day 3. Pours black, very oily, no foam. Smell is intense booze, sweet, some coffee. Very mild oak features. Taste is very sweet, thick, very mild barrel notes. Hidden aspects of coffee, not very in your face. At least they break the rediculous sweetness of the dark lord itself. All and all, one of the better dark lords. Still not my fav though. Too straight up, simple sweet.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015 (TEODRBSG15) ] - fonefan & Brugmansia House, Denmark. [ As Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout (Cognac Coffee) ].[ Bottle # 257/576 ]. Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, coffee, dusty coffee, alcohol - cognac, moderate roasted, light vegetable coffee. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dusty coffee, cognac, roasted, dark malt, coffee. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel notes of alcohol. [20150829]

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours black with a beige head and lacings. Bottle 257/516. Wood, roast, coffee, cognac, soy and a whisper of alcohol. Smooth, soft and slick. Proper!

Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours black with a ring beige head. Aroma of coffee with vegetable qualities upfront, with dark chocolate molasses, caramel, toffee, soy, sweet malt, brown sugar, cognac and barrel notes. Flavour is heavy sweet in normal Dark Lord fashion and light moderate bitter. Creamy and sticky in the palate with alcohol warmth in the finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015, day 2. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown to dark brown head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is superb: loads of coffee, malts, dark malts, roasted malts, espresso and dark chocolate. Taste malts, well the coffee has gone for the most part, sweetish, chocolate, bitter hints, some sugar. Superb creamy mouthfeel, silky texture, full body, suitable quite soft carbonation. Intense, but very nice!

Bottle. Black with medium brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, espresso and vegetables. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, espresso, vanilla, oak, wood, sweet, hop, little liqourice and a little bitter.

Vollmundiger, fast etwas zu süßer Malzantrunk. Weiche Aromen von Holz und Kaffe, was zur vorhandenen Süße eher unpassend erscheint. Der Alkohol scheint dagegen gut verborgen. Süß, etwas scharf, für mich etwas zu süß. Gelungen. 12/11/11/12/14/12
