Cask at The Royal Oak, Borough, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a small bubbly white head on top. Malty, spice, rye aroma. Tastes similar, malty, spice, rye, caramel. Very enjoyable.

Cask at the Royal Oak. Orange-amber, clear. Bubbly, low head. Spicy rye nose, caramel, grassy hop. Very spicy rye flavor, very peppery and bitter. A bit saison-like. Good stuff.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Hazy amber beer, few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is smooth with a very slight viscosity. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish malts. Light floralness. Tangy dried fruits. Little spice. Marmalade. Smooth finish. Not bad at all for Harvey’s.

Cask at the Market Porter. Thanks to the Wingman for this sweet info. It pours clear deep amber with a decent bubbly white head. The nose is toasty grain, earthy, brown bread, spice, stone fruit, dried berry and just a touch of sulphur. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, brown bread, wood, slightly oily, alcohol hit, spice, light caramel and toasty grain with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Drinks easier than I expected. Quite well crafted and quaffable. Nice stuff.

Cask gravity at The Bell Ivychurch. Clear amber colour with few bubbles on top. Rating 15000. Fitting really to be in a summer English village pub beer festival. Pub sits in front of the church opposite the green with a fete going on. Quite picturesque. Cycled 90 mins to get here from Folkestone so had a thirst on and I find a special one off Harveys beer. Unmistakable Harveys yeast aroma. Bit of apple. Some rhubarb. Strong abv no doubt. Some malt flavour. Lots of hops on the finish. Dry twiggy English hops. Dry beer. Really tasty when you get used to the flavour mix. Alcohol is going to my dehydrated brain. Time for a sausage in a bap. Good English strong. Sticky malts then good drying hoppy finish. And only 3 quid a pint. Cheers to everyone I have met thru Ratebeer. Now for the next 11 beers that I haven?t rated yet that are on.
