33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, earth, dust, cocoa, burnt sugar, some chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, earth, yeast, some chocolate, cocoa bitter finish. Light-bodied, faint taste.

bruin/zwarte stout met matige bruine kraag aroma’s van geroosterde en gebrande mouten, aardse tonen, caramel, licht zuurtje, hout, zoet. de smaken zijn redelijk zoet, licht bitter, matig gemout, mooie chocolade en ’aardse’ tonen, het lichte zuurtje in de aroma is niet in de smaak terug te vinden. redelijk body, glad in de mond, laag van co2, afdronk is chocolade en zoetig. over het algemeen een goede smaakvolle porter, met lekkere chocolade, iets licht/dun in de mond maar kwalitatief een goed bier. vind hem erg lekker !

Clear dark purple brown beer, aery beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: grains, mocha, toast, sweet coffee, bit dirty, cow fodder. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sourish start, bit dirty, overripe fruits, bitter, banana, some mocha. Aftertaste: mocha, bit of caramel, dried plums (prunes), overripe fruits, little bitter, unpleasant touch, grains.

75cl bottle, gusher. Brune foncée, col épais moka. Arôme malté, grillé avec une pointe de chocolat amer, léger houblon herbacé. Palais est agréable, mais tient ce profile levure un peu aigre qui fait que tout le bon côté d’une bière proche du style porter s’en retrouve diminué par un palais lactique/aigre. Carbonnation est pétillante avec une levure trop active. Ressent un profile fruits noirs en retrait laissant ce fini aigre. En se réchauffant, le chocolat se fait plus présent et redonne donc un peu de caractère. Dommage car il y a un bon potentiel.

bottle from Calais Vins. Deep brown, amost black colour, large beige head. Aroma of wild yeast, slightly sour, fruit. Full-bodied, the wild character is in the far background. Caramel, dark chocolate, espresso coffee plus some shy sour fruitiness. Good.

Very opague black color, even when you hold a lighter against it, no light will shine through. Taste and smell is a bit roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and maybe some candy-sweets. Not bad at all. Not an extreme porter/stout taste, but a rather balanced one.
