Bottle 750ml. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TTODRBSG10 - Ulfborg.Clear medium brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, spicy, clove, cinnamon. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy, dark malt, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100814]

Bottle, 5.8%. Spicy aroma, aniseed or something. Cloudy very dark brown colour, red shine. Small stable light brown head. The flavour also has a bit of aniseed, subtle, but easy to spot. Roasted malts, a little yeast in the finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a dense beige head. Nose has hard roast malts and a little spice. Medium body, hard roast malt, spice - ginger and anise. A little ashes and malt bitterness in the finish. 140810

Bottle from some Alko near the train station in Helsinki. Poured a black body tinged with red with a thick tan head that went away slowly. Sweet complex malty nose, soft, carrot, some dust. Light acidic vinuous taste fighting with some underlying roastiness, a bit creamy. Maybe some raisins. Nice in a way.

Thanks to Finn for a 330ml bottle of this one. The pour reveals a slowly fading, fawn-coloured head atop of a near-black body with a russet shade. Herbal malts to the nose added by some kind of roasted tartness. Ashy and oaky in flavour with notes of spiced malts and tart berries. Increasingly bitterness to a short lived ending. Rather thin in the mouth. Unusual and in danger of leaving an inharmonious impression (Tromsø, 16.04.2010).

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt fra Alko Muonio. Veldig mørk dyprød på farge. OK lysebrunt skum som flater nesten helt ut. Innbydende aroma av ristet malt med innslag av krydder & frukt. Smaken er sammensatt og variert. Gjennomgående syrlig men innslag av frukt & bær. Litt krydder. Ettersmaken varer og munner ut i en tørr fruktig & syrlig bitterhet. Lagret på eikefat? Mye sedimenter igjen på flaska.
