Cask at the Cask, 30/08/13. Mahogony brown with a good sized tan covering. Nose is dark malts, hop notes, toffee, brown sugar, faint tropical fruit tang. Taste comprises bready malts, sugar, toffee, biscuit, earthy hoppy backbone, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Nice stuff - a hopped up affair making for a drinkable drop in this otherwise tedious and ’made up’ style !

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 26th August 2013. Almost black with pale tan head. Spicy, smoky aroma. Smoky in-mouth with savoury notes. Some fruity berries in the finish otherwise continuing in much the same vane - delicious smokiness and roasts. Rich smooth mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at Cambridge Blue. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasty, chocolate, dark fruit, caramel and faint smoke. The taste is smooth, dark fruit, berry, roasty, toast, light bitterness, earth and some light medicinal/smoky notes with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Well-integrated. Nice work.
