Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour with a small offwhite to beige head. Smells roasty, liquorice, slightly sourish, red fruits, forrest fruits. Tastes liquorice, sour, roasty, laurier. It’s nice but nothing crazy. Overpriced. Full body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle shared. Very dark mahogany with barely any head. Balsamico, oxidized red wine, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy notes, massive overripe black berries and other fruits, tar. Very thick and concentrated aroma. Medium sweet and quite sour with roasted and oxidized bitter finish with turns into a soft long lasting puckering tartness. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very intense and complex, very nice. The more I drink the more sour it seems, but great to share a bottle!

0.33 l bottle from ’Etre Gourmet’, bottled in February 2016. Clear, very dark red to black with a thin, frothy, pinkish white layer. Sweetish, malty, a bit sourish, moderately fruity and quite vinous aroma of red grapes, some vinegar, caramel, chocolate, plums and raspberries. Moderately sweet, medium sour, malty, a bit roasty, quite fruity and a bit vinous taste of chocolate, caramel, red grapes, oak, vinegar, cherries and a touch of almond, followed by a medium long, moderately tart, woody, vinous and a bit roasty finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Complex, moreish beer, great balance between malty sweetness and fruity acidity, lovely blend of well-matching flavours (Schwarzwälder Kirsch comes to my mind). Can’t compare it to the first batch, but I really like this one.

Bottle. This really is a mix of a sour ale and a belgian strong ale. Sour, sweet and malty at the same time. Notes of milk chocolate, sour cherries and strawberries.

Pours a cloudy brown with light head. Aromas of caramel malts, dark fruit, and light vinous wood. Rich flavors of dark fruit (prunes and raisins), dark caramel, tart black cherries and chocolate, and a little bit more light vinous wood. Beauty
