Draft. A deep red beer with a thin rim of tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel as well as a light touch of roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Deep brown with nice ruby highlights and a medium, creamy head. Roasted malts, plenty o’ milk, chocolate, and some coffee hnaging out as well. Soft mouth. Roasted malts, chocolate, not as much milk as I was expecting from the nose, some coffee, and a sour finish. While I was hoping for more of the milk notes, this is an easy drinking, tasty porter. I’d have a night of these.

A good, if fairly ordinary porter. Black of course. Roasted malt aroma with just a little coffee. Flavor has more roasted malt, light coffee and chocolate. Because this is what so many porters taste like, it is often the palate that makes them and this one falls in the middle. Good enough. Thanks to Skyview for sharing this one.

Light toasted malt aroma. Dark brown color with a beige/tan head lacing lightly. Starts a bit smoky, not too sweet, just a note of bitter. Seems to be a toasty smoked porter with light chocolate notes. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavorful.

Draft. Blackish beer with an off-white head. Slight roasty, chocolate aroma. Roasty, chocolate flavor with backing grapefruit/pine bitterness. Sounds strange, but nice balance. medium body. LIngering hops with chocolate.

On tap at Laurelwood, Portland. Black with dark brown edges. Tan head. Lovely porter aroma. Sligtly sour choc/malt. Very velvety choc/coffee in mouth. More choccy than I would expect. Nice. Some sour edge, bit of charcoal powder. Great balance. Loved the aroma on this so much I had to give it a 10. Again I had this 2 days later and it didn’t disappoint.

Very dark brown colour. Not much aroma, maybe a little toast. Thin, roasty body and palate. Kind of stout-like. Slight nuttiness belies that and in the end it is a by-the-numbers porter.
