Cask at Holloway Wetherspoons. Brown/red with frothy off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity and a bit spicy. Taste is quite sweet and boozy. Slight tingle in the mouth. End is increasingly spicy. Bitter finish but also rising sweetness. Quite full bodied. Smooth and thick. Pretty nice.

Had this on tap at the Crosse Keys Spoonies. It was alright. Poured amber with a foamy, off-white head. Lots of bready malts, some toffee, subtle ripening fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, further sugary bread, fruits, mild yeast. Decent.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet - October 2011. Golden amber with a dense cream head; aroma of malt, slighly sour and earthy; smooth with a rich fruity maly flavour; the finish is warming with dry caramel and an earthy bitterness.

6th October 2011
Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear amber beer, small cream coloured head. Smooth dry palate. Mild toffee malt. A little spice. Pleasant dried fruits. Apricot and orange. Develops bitterness to join the mild spice in the semi dry finish. Allright.
