This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and pale beer aged on cherries. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour.

330 ml bottle at Kulminator. Dark red brown, medium foamy head. Dark cherries, red wine, wood, cassis, cranberries, raspberries. Sweet and sour. Light bodied, lively carbonated, dry sourish finish, refreshing and complex. Great.

Bottle. 2016 blend. Color: Dark reddish brown, off- white head. Aroma: Moderate sweet and sour cherries. Taste: Medium sweet and light to moderate sour cherries. Very light bitterness. Notes of wood. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Medium to above medium body, below average carbonation. Although it's a bit sweet, this beer is quite nice.

Flasche gekauft am Flughafen in Brüssel. Dunkles Braun, rötlicher Stich, trüb, Schaumbildung, schnell aufgelöst, gegen Licht gehalten erkennt man Kohlensäure. Aroma: Sauerkirsche (aber dezent), ein wenig Karamell und kalter Kaffee. Hopfen. Geschmack: Kirsche, aber nicht alleine im Vordergrund, erst im Nachgang stärker. Eher Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. Länger süßlicher Nachgeschmack. Voller Antrunk, leicht prickelig. Speichelbildend.
