Draught @ the brewery’s taproom, Brussels. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery touches. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet, fruity and estery notes and touches of malt. Roasty and estery aftertaste with citric touches. Reasonable but not really my favourite beer from this brewery.

Draught, 6.66% at the Brewpub in Brussels. Surprisingly caramelly aroma. Hazy brownish colour with a red note. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted, vinous and quite fruity. Bready finish.

Can. Light hazy red amber, golden head. Nice parfumed hop aroma. Medium body, dry chewy, sparkly. Fine roast on caramel, juicy notes, light berry, bready roast and chocolate retronasal, layed with aromatic hops. Nice.

Can at Gainsbar, Kortrijk. Deep dark flavour, some liquorice. Brown colour. Taste is somewhat mixed. Like ipa sometimes, Stout others. I think this must be a hard style to get spot on and here it isn't quite there. Rather mature ending. Not failing, it's nice to drink but nothing memorable. It did grow on me though.

Bière bue au nouveau bar du BBP à Ixelles, Bruxelles. Robe assez brune et rrsnaoernte, limpide. Nez malté et houblonné. Bouche légère, un peu amère mais manque d'intensité et de complexité à mon goût. (M)

Ça y est! Première Black IPA en Belgique. Un bon début, mais j’espère trouver mieux.

Intense, malty mouthfeeling. Dried apricote and herbal hops. RAther short finish.
