Bottle from the VandeStreek bros, BB end 2015, large sample. Almost clear amber to copper color, short frothy slight off-white head. Aroma of soft caramel, bit sweet fruity touch, marmalade, orange, oak wood. Soft sweetness in taste, bit bitter. Slight pine. Slight dry in the finish. Soft to medium carbonation, medium bodied.

On tap at PINT BBF’14. Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of vanilla, oak, quite floral, hoppy, malty, some caramel. Flavour is medium sweet, oak, vanilla, again quite floral, soft citrus, some caramel, nice bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Good and tasty.

Bottle @ home. Lightly hazy reddish color, medium sized off-white to beige head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is malts, surprisingly hoppy, caramel. Taste malts, again surprisingly hoppy, caramel, sweetish at first but decently bitter from the hops. Totally not a dunkler bock as you’d expect but hey, I like the beer.

33 cl bottle @ home. Nice, almost clear ruby red (to brown) color. Light beige head with reasonable retention. Aroma’s: grain, light fruit, light caramel. More caramel retronasal, with light roasted malts and wood notes, tannines. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, light wood. Light to medium bodied. Finishes moderate bitter, woody. Interesting and quite nice.

Bottle. Light brown with small white head. Caramel and some roasted malts, light yoghurt and a nice hoppy touch with some pine and citrus peel. Light sweet with a bitter kick in the finish. Better than all the boring bock beers.
