On tap at La Foire Gourmande in Ville Marie Quebec.
Black pour, with a huge mocha head. The thick roasted aroma is great, notes of coffee, cocoa, and touches of soy. The mouthfeel is great, a touch thick from the oatmeal, and the carb is perfect. the finish is again, very rich and intense with the roasted malts. More coffee, even espresso. Bitter cocoa, and soy. Great stout.

upfront big roasty notes, some light lactic notes, and some subtle sweeetnss that turns into cocoa, and coffee. Carbonation was low, but the mouth feel was spot on. intense roastiness in the finish with a big dose bitter cocoa, and some coffee. a great stout.

(Can - 5.8%) Pours black with good tan head. Aroma of roast grain with coffee notes. Good mouthfeel - medium body with mouth filling soft carbonation. Taste is somewhat tart, pleasantly bitter in a burnt sugar, black coffee, dark chocolate way. Notes of chocolate. Good stout.

Pitch black coloured body with a ridiculously large, way too high, eleven centimetre tall (to the top of the glass and beyond) tan head - either this was old or it had too much sediment in it. Aroma of yeast (perhaps thats the answer), grain, oatmeal, lactose and a bit of cream noticeable. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong meaty flavour with some grain, beef, mushrooms, yeast and soy sauce all noticeable along with some caramel, earth, grain, oatmeal and some lighter yeast and chocolate notes. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the roasted malt, a bit of lactose and cream and some funkier earth and metallic flavours as well. Overall, a decent stout with some good notes, but the head was way too high and the pungency a bit too strong, especially in a town with some really good full-bodied beers to beat the cold temperatures. I sampled this 50 cL ’montreal-styled’ bottle purchased from Depanneur Paul (Ave des Pins @ Saint Laurent) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for CA$4,99 on 17-September-2016, sampled in my hotel room here in Montreal a day later on 18-September-2016.

A brown reddish stout with a thin brown head. In mouth, very sweet perfumey chocolate, with light coconut and hops. In nouth, a strange fruity chocolate with herbal notes, coffee, odd. On tap at Mondiale 2013, May 31 2013.
