German & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full tasting beer. A beer to sit down and enjoy the beautiful taste sensation. Coffee and dark chocolate, among other things, can be clearly distinguished in the scent. The beer has distinctly roasted accents and a nice bitterness.

Rund malziger Antrunk mit dezenten Röstnoten. Weiterhin würzig, dezente Herbe. Leicht schokoladig, zum Ende milder, etwas trocken. Gut! 9/10/9/8/8/9

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2013) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, dark bread and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, caramel, dark bread and gentle coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and nice stout.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Black with a tan head. Roasted malts, coffee and molasses. Nice smokiness. Slight metallic aftertaste to it. Overall a nice but easily forgotten stout.

Clear very dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: lots of chocolate, mocha, somewhat metallic, sweet caramelly touch. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: some caramel, mocha, bit metallic, lots of dark chocolate, some coffee. Aftertaste: chocolate, bit metallic, mocha, pretty dry hoppy ending.

Bottle at the Beer, Bocce and Boozer Tasting, London. Cheers Bruce for bringing this one along! Pours black-brown with a lovely, creamy beige head. Cocoa, roast, light lacto sweetness and dark bread in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with subtle roast, burnt bread, cocoa and some ash. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Semi-sweet finish with charcoal, some cocoa and burnt earth bitterness. Very decent beer.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton at his Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. It pours almost black, with a thin beige head. The nose is salted liquorice, chocolate, caramel and seawater. The taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate hint of smoke, caramel, nut and salted liquorice, with a dry-roasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Fles 33cl thuis. Geen verkeerde stout. Bitter en een beetje zoet. (11-2011).

Very good brown-beige head over nearly black beer. Faint chocolate, lightly roasted, cypress, dark green leaves (and ditto malts). Sweet, slightly roasted, active carbon, sweetness building up in the finish, with upcoming woodiness and nutty flavours. Very slick, medium to well-bodied, and generally quite well-balanced. Rather excellent, very well-balanced stout, one to cherish again.

ABT beer of the month February 2011. Pretty decent smell and a pretty soft taste. Not bad at all. Low body and carbo. Worth a try.
