500ml bottle. 2016 vintage. Smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some coffee, honey, toffee, syrup, vanilla and cocoa. Quite balanced despite its quite old.

Bottle shared at Andrew's B-day Bash. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Big aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, oak, star anise and coffee. More coffee and star anise on the palate with fudge brownie and espresso. Some bitterness and sweetness both playing off each other. Good carbonation with cream, coffee and chocolate lingering on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Birth of Tragedy on 16 Sep 2018 at 18:41 - Score: 8
