Bottled May 2015. Highly carbonated with lots of foam in the glass. The beer starts fresh and sour. Smooth and mild with grainy hints. Fresh floral hops, round sourness. Not too deep but full bodied. Long moderate sourish floral hoppy aftertaste. Nice.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color with generous head. Wonderful funky aroma, and pungent hops, a bit citrusy and tropical. Very dry, with extreme Brett component, funky, spicy, plenty of citrus peel (orange and cedar), strong bitterness.
Excellent.

Clear golden coloured body with a peach glow and a nice, dense three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of brett, sour funk, grass, herbs, hops, mouth-watering sourness and a pleasant barnyard, musty smell - very nice. Medium-bodied; Strong brett flavour with some lactose, milk and pure funk going on with a touch of hops and earth, but mainly brett funk. Aftertaste shows a little musty and mushroomy flavour with some very light hops and a distinct herbal flavour, but the brett, and non-sour components are by far the strongest. Overall, a decent enough beer, and perhaps I was expecting a lot, especially on the complexity side, but this was just ho-hum, with probably a lot of people rating this on reputation and the fact that you don’t see this style too often, but it’s definitely not a beer worth searching out for, nor spending a lot of money on. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bowery), New York on 18-June-2015 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-November-2015. Bottle. Pours quite hazy golden orange, very large white head, pillowy, nice puffy lacing. Aroma is Brett, funk, barnyard, armpits, citrus, dust, lemon zest and lemon grass. Flavor is dry, light citrus, definitely lemony, light bitterness and medium Bretty funk. Medium body. Tasty.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma is super funky, with loads of bretty funk and zesty hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of bretty funk, citrus zest and lovely dry hopping. No residual sweetness. Loads of complexity and funk in this. Not quite up to the level of the Citra version, but this is certainly excellent.
