Bottle – A cloudy orange amber colour with a large lasting frothy off white head. A sweet fruity aroma stewed quince, tropical fruits notes, light malts, and some citrusy grassy hops. Moderately sweet taste, again a predominance of fruit flavours, tropical and citrus, but also some light caramel malt and a resin hop bitterness in the finish. A good mouth feel, medium bodies and overall quite a nice beer.

Bottle at home. A definite nose of tropical fruit which continued into the beer. It was difficult for me to pin down any particular flavours, but definite tropical fruit. Slightly cloudy, a good mouth feel and overall very pleasant. It’s not going to set my world on fire, but very good.

Keg, half pint shared with Finn at Commercial Rooms (JDW). Bubbly white head, laces well, hazy orange body. Orange and bread on the nose. Blended taste character of sappy oranges and toffee. Mid-dry fruity ending. Fine bodied. Refreshing. (Bristol 30.04.2017).

On cask at the Bow Bar. Appearance - golden with a nice lacy head. Nose - orange and toffee. Taste - more orange and toffee. Hazelnuta. Biscuit at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture. The finish is sweeter than preferred. Overall - good but could be fresher!

Cask at the Cambridge Blue, Cambridge on 14th September 2016. Amber with thin off-white scanty lacing foam. Fine grapefruit citrus, herbs and spiciness in aroma. Rich and intense grassy and citric hoppiness in-mouth with honey. A soapy touch. Sweet fruitiness (plum and peach) join the existing flavours in the finish. A smooth mouthfeel and light to medium body. Exquisite.

Aroma which has okay hops and some hints of peach. Has some head, modest clear beige body. Flavour has a nice soft hops touch to it, otherwise unremarkable. Kind of weak on the mouth. It’s drinkable, sessionable, but not too interesting.
