When brewing a Belgian IPA one is faced with a serious dilemma. Should there be more of Belgium, with its fruity yeast flavours? Or should one lean towards America — pronounced, IPA-style bitterness and alluring resin-citrusy aromas?
We decided to bet on Belgium, out of respect for its brewing traditions and, also, because there are already plenty of classis IPAs on our menu.
In Goedemorgen peaches and oranges come to the fore, swiftly followed by spicy pepper and herbs. That’s Belgian esters. The lemons and grapefruit you smell afterwards come from the American hops. The overarching aroma is this of biscuits and caramel — courtesy of lightly-roasted malts. When tasting, you can additionally expect bold, yet crisp and brief bitterness.

Barwa jasnozłota, lekko zamglone. Piana szybko ulatuje. W aromacie wyczuwalne nuty belgijskie (goździki, kwiatowość). W smaku do głosu dochodzą nuty cytrusowe oraz dojrzałe owoce. Goryczka na niskim poziomie, nasycenie również.

Bottle 0.5l. Cloudy, deep gold colored. AROMA- citrusy, oranges, light Belgian character. FLAVOR- neutral, bitter, malty, citrusy, spicy. Medium to fuller bodied.

Bottle. Quite assertively spicy, light hay, barnyard, moderately bitter. Quite tasty and easy dinking well attenuated american style saison.

Bottle from 100 piv. Hazy golden color with thick white head. Aroma of citrus hops, spices, light malt. Taste starts with sweet malt, spices, citrus hops. Good.

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is softish and semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Soft smooth malts. Pine. Little peach. Mild orange peel. A touch of milky sweetness. Smooth fine brings mild tropical fruits. Not bad.

Bottle. Amber colour, hazy, rocky head that does not stay long. Aroma is apricot, banana, spices, herbs. Light sweetness, light bitterness. Full body, soft carbonation. I like that it’s not overhopped, it shows some Belgian character, but it’s not a spectacular beer.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności do 17.07.2016, temperatura degustacji 12-14 stopni +, szkło edel. Aromat: słodki, przyjemny, dobry balans między aromatami chmielowymi a estrami pochodzącymi od drożdży, nie ma tu jakieś szczególnej dominacji, po otwarciu butelki wyczuwalne nuty cytrusowo-żywicze, po przelaniu do szkła wyczuwalne typowe belgijskie estry (słodkie owoce, kwiatowość). Barwa: jasny bursztyn, mętne. Piana: biała, średnia, drobno pęcherzykowa, średnio trwała, opada do cienkiego pierścienia zdobiąc przy tym delikatnie szkło. Smak: pierwszy łyk i od razu czuć że jest wytrawnie (a po aromacie i parametrach wydawałoby się że będzie słodko) , jest krótka słodycz która szybko jest przełamana grejpfrutowo-taniniczną średnią goryczką odczuwalne max 50ibu, w smaku jak już się ogrzało jest całkiem dużo żywicy(polski cascade daje radę) . Wysycenie średnie, piwo dobrze pijalne, średnie ciało. Bardzo ciekawe połączenie dwóch styli (dobrze zbalansowane chociaż w smaku więcej ameryki) , no i ładna etykieta przypominająca witraż do tego dobrze dobrane kolory wg mnie najlepsza.
