At WWT tasting thanks to Ceasar. Clear straw with very small white head. Sulphur up front, but it fades a bit after a while luckily. Urine, musty grains, old wood, hay. Light sour and dry feel with light body. Maybe it sat too long in the bottle but still not bad.

Bottle @ WWT IV thanks to Caesar. Clear pale golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste lightly sourish fruits, sourish fruitpeel, quite dry. Low body and carbonation.

On tap at DHVL, pours a clear bronze with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of flowers - a little funk. Flavour is very flowery as well, with a citric finish. Interesting stuff, but not my entirely my thing. Decent.

From the barrel at the brewery. Barrel from nov 11, so 9 months when drank, but so much difference from the younger barrel. Slight hazy golden. Wonderful aroma of wood, some tartness, slight fruitiness. Because of the horrible sweet chateau beers, I didnt expect a thing. But wow, absolutely amazing.

De troch - wambeek lambiek – Brewed January 2011 – Enjoyed at the 2012 Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation. This is an unblended Lambiek direct from the brewery. Served in 2 ounce pours.

A - SRM of 5. Nice legs. Slick and gold

S - grass and lemons and limes. Chicken scent. Very barnyard like characteristics

T - peaches and copper. Strawberries and oak.

M - 20% carb. Heavy and oily. Bitter finish of metal

O - Too much metal. Overall, pretty good. The metallic throws me off though. 3/5

draft @ WoSF 2012 // close to 1 yr old / no head & clear, so I am entering this as an old Lambic // (a) clear bright golden with no head // tart-tastic, lemons, fruity, hints of malt even // tart, acidic lemons, very lasting & quite numbrous, touch of that lambic soap flavour, cardboard, dry // baby carbonation here, almost slightly began carbonated, takes it down a notch, not that great of a thing, would have been better completely flat /// Had this one gain, draft @ DHL, simple but very delicious & super drinkable, upped the score from 4.3 to 4.4
