33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy orange-amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramelised malts, light floral, light herbal, not very outspoken. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, caramelised malts, some toast, flowers, honey, light fruity, grassy and herbal bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nice.

Hazy pale to medium amber colour, good two finger frothy off-white head, recedes slowly to a thick lasting layer, good lacing. Citric nose, yeast, dough, lemon grass, star fruit, grass. Flavour light to medium bitter, light sweet, fruity, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Medium dry bitter finish, bit fruity, herbal and citrus notes. Overall a fine APA-like beer, very drinkable.

A reddish yellow, beautiful beer with a medium and blond head. The nose has fruits, some mandarin, some grain and caramel. Taste has fruits, spices that is more dominating in the end, grain with some caramel. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Caramelly nuancee is different than normally in this kind of beers. Good.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear orange color, full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is a bit hard to describe but it reminds me of wheat, yeast and lemongrass in a mix. Taste is lightly yeast, lightly bitter, lightly a distant hint of brett leading to a medium dry finish. Carbonation suits the beer well. Yeah I dig this, pretty nice. The ’Belgian Ale’ category seems a bit odd though.. Slightly misleading.

Thanks to tderoeck for picking up this bottle for me! 33 cl. bottle. Bottled on 05/08/2014 (not sure if EU or USA style date). Dark peach amber, solid slightly off-white head. Mellow dough, bread, lightly fruity nose, very faint grass, light nose. Bitter lightly herbal hop taste, balanced, mellow, bitter herbs, light Chinese spices, touch herbal malt, some overripe fruits, tad sweetness,… Bit more herbal than grass bitter than the regular De La Senne beer. Tad more malt but not malt heavy & typical great De La Senne dryness. Quite a bit of burned sugar. Delicious & very clean + superbly balanced over everything else. Drinks very well, I wouldn’t mind if this were a regular offering. De La Senne keeps on killing it, one of the finest breweries in the world, I have said that before but it is just simply true.

Flaska från Etre Gourmet. IPA-utseende, grumlig.

330 ml bottle from etregourmet.be, bottled 05/08/14.
Dark amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Aroma of yeast, dough, berries, flowers, red apples, citus, dried fruits, some sugar.
Taste is sweet fruity initially, with about the same aromas and becomes bitter and a bit dry and tart.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, but still smooth, with citric notes.
Really tasty! Smooth, easy to drink and with lovely fruits. The balance is just perfect between sweet, bitter and a bit dry. Another excellent Belgian Ale by de la Senne!
