330ml bottle. Opaque, dark brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Herbal-smoky and dark malty aroma, hints of olives, smoked wood, incense, some dark caramel, fruity overtones with a touch of date. Taste is dry, roasty, dark malty, herbal and minimally smoky, hints of olives, incense, dark chocolate, weak, fruity overtones. Creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice composition, well balanced, harmonious and homogeneous - enjoyable.

BB 31/03/2022, 330ml bottle; 8% dark ale brewed with Somalia Region ingredients like myrrh (a natural gum or resin extracted from a number of small, thorny tree species of the genus Commiphora. Myrrh resin has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense and medicine), date molasses and olive leaves;
APPEARANCE: deep brown color with cola, mahogany like hues under the light; small beige, tan head with very small bubbles creating a compact ring on the side of the glass, big bubbly island in the middle
AROMA: very unusual, unique and at the same time quirky aromas; bright notes of church incense - myrrh but not in a offensive way, moderate sweetness of toasted sugars, brown sugar, toasted bread and sweet bread crust, date paste, hints of caramel, cola & chocolate, very mild dried fruits underneath - prunes, figs; mild dried herbs, hints of slightly over baked bread crust but not burnt; hidden alcohol
TASTE: moderate carbonation with creamy and fluffy bubbles, medium light to medium body with lightly syrupy mouthfeel, slightly thin and wet feel on the edges; moderate sweet onset of toasted bread & sugars, date syrup, notes of dark chocolate and mild roast, aromatic resins and incense from myrrh but less obvious than on the nose, hints of smoke, moderate herbal bitterness, notes of chicory ; soft red wine like tartness in the middle, underneath hints of cooling and refreshing eucalyptus; dry aftertaste with lingering bitterness, incense, spicy notes, minerals, brown sugar and savory/umami hints; no obvious sign of 8% abv
OVERALL: very well crafted, everything works well together, myrrh doesn't overpower nice dark ale base; definitely quirky but at the same time enjoyable experience

Bottled 330ml. -from Schneider’s Getränkemarkt Cologne. Almost black coloured, minimal off-white head, caramel and mild incense in the nose. Roasted malt, caramel, incense and spices with mild touch of smoke. Bit messy but interesting.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, leather, smoke, caramel, alcohol and olives. Pours almost black color with thin creamy light brown head. Taste starts with medium sweet and slightly sour roasted malt, molasses and caramel, following is grassy, leathery, mouthfeel is warm and mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Spiritual beer...

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks interesting! Beer in the glass dark black, small head. Heavy roasty malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, some interesting smoothy vanilla notes. Finish milder, still fine roasty-stouty malty. Herbal-dry aftertaste. Interesting!

Tap at Beergeek. Pitch black, off white head. Liturgical herbs in the aroma. Pleasant church crypt. Soft herbal taste, dark caramel, treacle, so damn smooth. Hmm. Solid herbal bitterness. Honestly, it's one of those one of experiments that you'll appreciate but that will be one of for a reason.

0.33 l bottle from 'Schneider's Getränkemarkt', best before March 2022. Clear, very dark reddish brown to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, rather herbal-spicy, slightly roasty, gently smoky and moderately fruity aroma of chocolate, lots of incense, caramel and traces of dark fruits (dates?!). Gently sweet, malty, slightly roasty, quite herbal-smoky, spicy and moderately fruity taste of mainly caramel and chocolate, accompanied by incense and some dates, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, gently herbal-smoky, moderately spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. First beer for a long time that really surprises me with fairly new and unique flavours, mainly due to the incense which I've never tasted in a beer before. Really special and interesting, but also satisfying and rewarding. Good!
