Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Citrus, caramel, soft herbal notes and peat in the aroma. Malty sweet, peaty flavor with citrus, roast and grassy notes. The peat is fairly dominant. A Total mess of flavors and aroma’s, but a very nice mess.

330ml bottle [8.1 % abv]. Darkest brown colour with average to huge, firm, thick, frothy to creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Leathery, smoky, peaty, dark malty and grassy, spicy, hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, coffee, green onion. Taste is leathery, peaty, smoky, slightly chocolately dark malty and mildly bitter, grassy, slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, coffee, orange, mandarine, peat, leather, shoe polish, some cocoa. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and gentle, soft carbonation. Rich, complex, nicely dirty - really good brew.

Dark, dark brown with a sticky, foamy head. Aroma probably has more peat than any other beer I’ve ever smelled. A good dose of burnt rubber underneath. No real hint of barrel for me. A touch of chocolate. Taste is mildly sweet, a touch chemical, full of caramel and chocolate and electrical fire and things that might not entirely be good for you. But still .. quite interesting. Finishes full of rubber and garden earth. Body is thick, with moderate carbonation. One of those beers you admire for the range and intensity of flavors .. but are not sure you actually like.

Intense dark beginning. Grain with a nice and woody whisky peat. Nice smooth mild smoked ending. Fantastic deep woody whisky ending, caramel, very dry, tar and light in one. Nice.

Dunkel malziger Beginn mit deutlichen Noten von Whiskey, kaum hopfig, was aber sowieso hinter dem nun süßen Malz verschwindet. Alkoholisch herb, kurzer Abgang. Interessantm aber un-IPA-ig. 10/8/9/8/10/8

Black, beige lacing head. Aroma has roast, caramel, grapefruit and pine, earthy but not really any peat. Slightly woody. Hoppy flavour, bittersweet pine, a little coffee, bitter orange.

0,33 l bottle from Brolters, Bremen. Black in the glass with an unexpected steady and more than two finger frothy beige head. Intensive peat and licorice smell with strong hop. Taste has sweet peat and licorice, nearly sticky. Warming alcoholic. Needs time to dig into it.

Draught, 8.3% at Bar Oorlam. Very peaty aroma. Black colour. Very big stable creamy and rocky light brown head. The flavour starts off sweet, but is also very peaty with a nice hop bite. I usually do not like peat very much, but it works well for me in this beer.
