Our original keeved cider, made by us since 2010.
Fresh bittersweet cider apples are partially fermented to produce a naturally medium cider without sweetening or pasteurisation.
Wild yeasts, cold cellars and the low nutrient orchards of Pilton are all key elements in the process. Light and refreshing, it is best served chilled, as an aperitif or with food.

Danke an danlo, glaube ich zumindest. Starke Karbonisierung. Süß apfelig, erfrischend, natürlich. Rund, im Mittelteil trocken werdend, rund fruchtig. Mittellanger Abgang, hohe Süffigkeit. Gut. 10/9/11/11/9/11

Draught @ Schilling Portland. Apple juice nose, fresh fruit, nice, basic, just a touch of complexity.

Draught at Euston Tap, East Lodge. It pours hazy yellow - gold with no head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, apple skin, apple pie, earth, wood and a touch of barnyard. The taste is soft, sweet, apple pie, ripe apple, tannin, woody, black tea, earthy, wood and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and flat. A bit too sweet for my liking. Overall it's ok.

On tap at Anxo DC, pours a clear gold, a ring of white head. Nose has apples, some sweet pear juice too, perhaps a little green grape. Flavor is straight forward with apples and apple juice, some yeast notes here, a touch of lemon. Finishes dry. Good pub cider.

Bag in Box at Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Saturday 25th February This seemed to be the most popular of the ciders, even putting the might Gwatkin in the shade so I felt compelled to try it. Clear as a bell, warm gold, really good clean tangy apple, offering just the right level of tanginess. It was very good . A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

375ml bottle. Golden coloured with a short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple & horseblanket. Taste is tart apple, caramel, sweetish, woody, barnyard, rubbery with drying tannins. Light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, very dry earthy tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottled. A golden cider with a beige head. The aroma has notes of apples. The flavor is sweet with notes of apples, tannins, and wood, leading to a dry woody finish.

375ml bottle. Pours clear gold with naturally sparkling white bubbly head. Aroma is musty apple crates. Taste bears a natural apple fruitiness with firm tannins. Some apple juice sweetness but an ultimately organic taste and extremely moreish.
