Ganz traditionell präsentiert sich unser süffiges Altbairisch Dunkel. Das glanzklare, kupferfarbene Erscheinungsbild und ein fester, feinporiger Schaum lassen das Herz eines jeden Biergenießers sofort höher schlagen. Das Aroma überzeugt mit deutlichen Karamell- und Kakaonoten. Der volle, markante Körper geht gleichmäßig in eine zartbittere Schokoladennote mit deutlicher Hopfen- und Röstbittere über, die mit leichten Röstnoten trocken ausklingt.

Bottled 500ml. -at Medonja Varaždin. Dark amber/brownish coloured, small off-white head, caramel in the nose. Toasted malt, caramel, burnt sugar and slightly meaty with sweet finish. Just average.

On tap at the Brauhaus und Restaurant Markt Schwaben. Pours dark chestnut brown with good clarity and an off white head. It has a fruity tang allied with caramel, a little hedgerow bite, a touch of bitterness it's fine. *Btw we had a wonderful Pumpkin and Ginger Soup here.

On tap at Sheridan's Irish Pub, Zagreb. Dark brown, ochre to reddish tint, medium creamy tan head. Caramel, brown sugar and floral aroma. A touch of nutty, toasty and coca. Rounded up with a nice dark malty touch, although there's a hint of corn in there. A bit tart, not too sweet, some toasty background notes, dry finish. Smooth, light body, soft carbonation. After a while a sugary plastic sweetness appears, not so pleasant. Overally nice.

Clear brown. Aroma is slight caramel some iron deep melasses. Taste is sour spiky with good malty base and full body. Some iron as well and full bodied finish. Quite dense but essy to drink. Good.

Sampled from 50cl bottle at Scheuerer Alm Aschau am Inn. A clear copper brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of moderate roasted dark malt, caramel and nuts. Taste of moderate sweet caramelish malt, nuts, soft roasted malt.

Draught @ The Brewery. Pours amber with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light grain, caramel, hay. Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, bread, hay. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. 150717

Draught at the brewery. Clear, copper to light brown colored. AROMA- toasted malts, bread crusts, dark caramel. FLAVOR- smooth, slightly sweet and bitter, some lactic tones, toasted malts, bread crusts. Light to medium bodied.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, chestnuts as well as a whiff of cacao and herbal hops. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly toasted and doughy malty taste with shy nutty notes, caramel and herbal spice far in the background; mildly sweet and slightly hop bitter finish with notes of caramel and cacao in the aftertaste. 01.XI.15
