An interpretation of a classic style. It has a pale bronze colour and an exceptionally full-bodied complex character with a spicy and peppery aroma. Generous quantities of premium Cascade, Simcoe, Centennial and Mount Hood hops give this Pale Ale its fragrant bouquet with a fruity, malty and spicy flavour.

Cask at the Lyric. It pours clear Amber with a small white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, toffee, cinnamon bun, brown bread and light citrus. The taste is bitter-sweet, woody, toffee, peppery grapefruit, lemon peel, biscuit and resin with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Underwhelming malt-driven affair. Hoppy bitter at best.

On gravity at The Just Reproach Deal. amber clear no head. Hoppy deceny apa. Citrus grapefruit. Itโ€™s ok slightly better than average. Bit sweet malt upfront. Hoppy bitter finish.

On tap at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - gold with a decent head. Nose - some grassy notes but more on the citrus side. Taste - orangey with a pale malt background. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - very balanced and drinkable.

Cask (Roker Hotel, Sunderland) - Amber in colour. Sultanas and apricot in the aroma. Moderately hoppy taste with sultanas, apricot and toffee detected.

Bottle at Rilesters pad - cheers Steve, 08/07/13. Clear light golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is light floral hops, orange sherbet, sugars. Taste comprises muted hops, orange, hint of minerals, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with a touch of bitterness. Average stuff. NOT an APA - simply a golden blonde ale.

Cask @ Pearl, Hartlepool. Golden glowing without much of a head. It has plenty of tropical fruits in its aroma although its texture is a touch soapy so doesnโ€™t have a great aftertaste.

500ml bottle from the Crafty Pint, Darlington market. Golden amber colour, thin white head leaving some lacing and spicy hop aroma. Taste is caramel malt with woody grapefruit hop and a lingering dry bitterness. Smooth mouth feel, light to medium bodied, well carbonated. OK.
