On tap at the Blind Tiger, Manhattan NY on 7th July 2013. Solid black with thick off-white creamy foam. Roasty aroma. Coffee, chocolate, liquorice and subtle saltiness in-mouth. Caramel in finish with spices, chocolate and lactic notes. Velvety, yet quite bodiful mouthfeel.

Toasty malts in the aroma. Texture is moderately thick and oily. The flavour has a long lasting dry roasted bitterness. Really dry finish.

Bottle at home from Brewdog online. Dark caramel ruby colour with a loose reluctant light tan head. Aroma is slightly manure treacle and woody. Nice full body for the abv. Long woody duration. Flavour is smooth roast and choc. slighlt chalk in the finish.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 04/10/2013.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice roast with a little coffee. Flavor is about the same. Lots of nice roasted notes with a little coffee. Maybe some salty brineyness toward the end but nothing overpowering. It’s a decent stout.

beautiful dark colour with huge foamy brown head; aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and hints of saltyness; taste of (over)roasted malt, coffee, some sourness and minimal saltyness; long lasting bitter aftertaste; not bad, but stouts are still not my favourite
