This crisply delicious cold-filtered cider has no artificial flavours or sweeteners, simply bucket-loads of great apple taste. That's real refreshment.

Clear metallic golden liquid with a shortlived rim, lively carbonated. Apple & solvent nose, lacquer, sweet-ish. Sweet apples with a faint acidity lurking below. Sweet apples indeed, but not artificially flavoured or sweetened, IMHO. Medium bodied, ever so slightly sticky. Well-carbonated but unfortunately too sweet to be refreshing. Too sweet commercial cider.

440ml can. Looks like fizzy apple juice. Aroma of apple juice, grape/wine. Taste is more like an apple flavoured alcopop than a cider. Carbonation is like a sparkling wine.

50cl bottle. Looks like a cheap cartonned apple juice, smells like a cheap cartonned apple juice; dry chemical taste with some underlying apple, but also a handful of chalk. Not good - I guess all the money went on the (rather good) TV ads, not on the product.

500ml bottle from local shop. Clear deep golden colour, white foam head and aroma of sour yogurt & apple. Taste is sweet, juicy apple concentrate with cardboardy notes and a tart edge. Watery, light bodied, medium carbonation, some residual sweetness in the finish. OK.

Keg tap at the Golden Lion, Osmotherley, 04/10/13. Clear golden with a thin white head. Nose is light apple, sweet artificial apple. Taste comprises apple chews, sweet, orchard e numbers, light apple. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, crisp and sweet in the finish. Fairly refreshing but lacking, has mass produced and long life all over it !

A light golden yellow coloured cider, has a lack of head and fizzes a little in the palate. Has a small English apple aroma and similar taste.
