Cider’s range, complexity, and acidity have made its faithful companion to food for centuries. That’s why we invited chef Chris Cosentino to Virtue Farms to blend a cider he could feature proudly beside his menu. This full-bodied and unfiltered blend of bittersweet and bitter-sharp apple varieties offers aromas of overripe Apple and the orchard, and a dry, crisp, citrusy flavor, supported by hearty tannins.

5-3-6-3-12 Bottle, shared with Inbreak and friends. Pours yellow with sediments and a few tiny bubbles. Aroma is musty apple peel and pits, with light spicy notes. Medium body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity notes of apples and kandied orange peel with spices. Dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy tart apple aroma. Fruity spicy dry tart apple flavor. Has a fruity spicy dry apple finish.

Bottled. A yellow cider. The aroma has notes of apples, lemons and wood. The flavor is lemons, apples, and wood, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle@yesprs - Golden yellow pour with tiny bubbly white head. Aroma and taste is one of prominent Apple, with some zesty Apple, appleskin, medium to light acidity, not bad but lacking somewhat compared to the last Somerset cider.

75 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is zesty apples. Crisp and smooth fruity. Dry, apples zesty. Slight earthy and wooden. Herbal and dry far finish.

750ml bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Golden colour with lots of suspended sediment, short-lived white foam head and nose of apple, hay, slight barnyard notes. Flavour is tart apple, fruity, melon, vanilla, woody, bittersweet with drying tannins. Crisp mouthfeel, sourish, light bodied, low to medium carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Quite OK.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a lot of sediment and a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a slightly acidic apple note with a decent amount of sweetness and a hint of funk. Flavor has a nice sweet apple with an acidic bite and a touch of earthiness.
