500ml bottle from Moonshine & Fuggles, Ironbridge. Clear golden colour, short-lived thin white foam head and aroma of apple, sharp, vinegar, light funk. Flavour is tangy apple, some solventy notes, vanilla, hay, funk and light tannin. Slightly spritzy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, fine carbonation, finish is dry with a lingering note of hay. Quite OK.

500ml bottle from Ludlow Food Centre, sipped on the ferry to Dunkirk. The sweetness of sparkling apple juice contrasts with an astringency that tightens the taste in an interesting way. A cider with real character, colourful and tasty.

Bottle from The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome Sunday 7th July 2013 consumed at home whilst cooking a curry in the garden 12.07.13 Pours light silvery gold, nose is clearly appley but with a light lemonyness also. Initially I feel that this is bit thin but after a while I don’t mind it. Bit furry in mouth, its med dry but edging more towards a light juicy tangy dryer cider, refreshing, decent cider.
