Enterprise has worked with Charles Wells Brewery to create the 3.6% ABV ale, which will be available exclusively to all 5,200 Enterprise leased and tenanted pubs in England and Wales.
For every pint sold Enterprise will donate 10p to the Legion.
Customers will also be able to send donations via a dedicated ‘text-to-donate’ number. Brewed with natural mineral water, English Ale yeast, Crystal malt, and Challenger and Fuggle hops, Poppy is described by Charles Wells Brewery as a ‘crisp, nutty, amber bitter, with great flavour.
There are heaps of fresh green Challenger hops above toasted toffee malt, with a real quenching finish.

Cask at White Star. Pours a clear gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of earthy grains and bread with a hint of nuttiness underlying. Flavor is full of earthy grain some bread backing.

Tried at the wheatsheaf Waddington. This was branded for the queens 90th birthday. Golden to pale Amber white head. Dull aroma and a bland taste. Bit nice.

Cask: two hand-pulled pints on 12th Nov 2015 in The Plough, Wellington Shropshire. Solid amber body with a full and lasting bubbly crown on top. Slightly more malts showing in both the aroma and taste than any hop content. Decent blend and at 3.6% flavoursome enough to make me have another pint before moving onto stronger stuff.

Cask at the Hole in the Wall, Darlington. Amber colour, white foam head and yeasty aroma. Taste is malt, fruity with a slight roasted note. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. OK.

Cask @ Unicorn, Manchester. Copper with a thin head. A sweetened ale with a red berry fruitiness prevalent in its nose.
