This cider is one of our refreshing summer fruit ciders – a lighter alternative to classic cider. We like to call this our 'Cider with Elderflower' rather than 'Elderflower Cider' because we want the apples to play an important part in what makes this cider taste as good as it does. The end result is a cider that is equally well-balanced with both aromatic elderflower and flavourful Somerset apples.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale light gold, very brief fizzy head. Aroma of elderflower, quite floral and slightly earthy. Taste is sweet but tart apple juice, floral and tangy. Light bodied, refreshing. Its ok, very much a summer drink.

Bottle at home, 07/08/21. Pale almost translucent yellow with a good sized but fast collapsing white cap. Nose is apple skins, grass, light perfume, faint elderflower notes. Taste comprises apple pulp, light tannins, perfume, floral notes, straw. Medium bodied, fine to light prickly carbonation, drying close. Ok cider ... not getting much elderflower here though.

On 23rd Jan 2020 I decided to change all my 34 'ticks' for no-beers into rates. Every 'tick' scored a '3', this will not change as they become 'rates'. My 'ticks' were Ciders, Meads, Perrys and Sake. This is a cider!

500ml bottle from Sheppy's House of Cider, shared with Soph at Wimbleball Lake. Pours very pale greenish yellow. Medium sweet elderflower nose. Taste presents prominently sweet floral elderflower, sweet apple fruit, clean, sweet, straightforward floral cider.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale golden colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of elderflower, apple. Taste is sweet, elderflower, juicy apple, fruity and citric. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, tart and sweet elderflower finish. Quite OK.
