Sample from Grumbo, cheers GB. Aroma of apple and caramel. Taste is very sweet, possibly too sweet. The sugar overpowers the apples. Not really a fan.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours clear gold. Aroma of stewed apples and brown sugar. Taste is quite mellow and smooth despite the strength. Apple, skins and brown sugar notes. A touch too sweet. Its ok.

Cask. Amber colour with a minor head, which vanishes quickly. Aroma is sweet apples, sugar, some apple juice and mild toffee tones. Flavour is very sweet apples along with some toffee and mild wood. Also a wee bit of alcohol flavours to it.

9/6/2021. From BIAB at the Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma of baked apple, brown sugar, caramel, hint of wood and weak spiced rum. Medium sweetness and light bitterness/tartness. Moderate body, oily texture, low carbonation. Quite drinkable.

Courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig!) Fairports Annual Reunion Festival, Cropredy Friday 12th August 2016 Pours clear gold with no bubbles, tangy and unlike the others I can taste a little apple, its the best of the trio, however still a little bit too sweet for me. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Copper coloured. Surprisingly light tasting and easy-drinking for its strength. Fairly potent with its apple nose, there’s a good dryish taste of the fruit too. Also can be called ’Darksider’.

Cask - Apple and nice warming spices. Copper with a thin beige head. Earthy, sweet and some tannins with a light spice apple flavour. Finish is sweet and semi-dry. I quite like this.
