A variation of our “classic” ReAle based on hops! Different hop varieties are added during the last 10 minutes of the boil, we add 3 times as much! The result is an explosion of aromas, from citrusy to resins (pine and incense). At the first sip your taste buds will be pleasantly overdriven by its bitterness that lead to a very pleasant and persistent tangerine note.

Bottle from Johnny’s Off License. Nice hoppy nose, American hops, cascade. Medium caramel, slight spicy with plums and pears. Nice nose. Flavor is caramel, grass, tobacco, rich malt with nice balance. Full flavored with great drinkability. Strong bitter finish. Nice stuff.

20/06/2011 750ml bottle.

Draft at Bavarian Lodge. Always excited to get a taste of the Italian craft beer action. In its tulip, this is a cloudy, lighter bodied pale ale, with a thin layer of foam and some lace at the edges. Smell does not have the hoppy slap in the face of an APA. Rather, there’s a note of fresh cherries, then some citrus hop. I should rate it higher for being understated, perhaps, but this is what it is. Instead, i say the taste is very unusual and delicious. I’m thinking, wrongly no doubt, of the newer hop varieties with kiwi or more tropical fruit notes. Malt is crystal with some aromatics, likely into a Belgian mix, or more likely what you get when an Italian brewer stops trying to imitate Heineken. yes, clearly a warm ale ferment, with fruity esters and lovely tasty malts, just a little bit thick. Touch of black pepper at the finish. Cheers, I say again cheers to growing craft beer scenes in new countries. This one’s a keeper, though it may be too delicate to have in a bottle.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Resin and pine aromas. Dry with sweet, dry caramel upfront turning grapefruit in the medium length finish.

Very wonderfull and very nice IPA. The colour is just like it should be. It looks fresh, orange/gold, summer-like. The smell is very good. Very hoppy and fresh. I think it’s made of American hops. Bitter smell also. Taste is also very good. To me it could use a bit more grapefruit notes and a bit more bitterness.. but still. Great beer.

Draft at The Heorot. Deep amber body with an off-white, frothy head. Aroma is sweet and malty with hints of orange and grapefruit. Caramel, citrus and peach. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture and moderate to lively carbonation. Orange and grapefruit, along with some resin, are more noticeable in the flavor than in the aroma. Smooth IPA, very quaffable. Could have been a bit more flavorful, but overall a nice IPA.
