Cask gravity at the Watford beer festival 2024. A clear mid orange coloured pour with a halo of loose bubbles. Aroma is semi sweet honey, toffee apple, chewy, apple and custard, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy green apple, hint of toffee, brown sugars, lingering tangy green apple. Well rounded. Little apple pith in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, chewy, light tang, mellow carbonation.

Bag in a box at the Old Horse, Leicester. Light gold, a bit of density. Light appley aroma, not much here. Sweet tangy taste, a lot more character here. Has that wonderful tangy cider bite on the tongue. Some balanced almost souring notes in the finish. I'm so used to Snail's Bank doing sickly sweet flavoured ciders that I forgot how they could deliver on the real thing.

Growler (probably BIAB) from LCB. It pours pale greenish golf with no head of couy. The aroma is tart, tangy, juicy green crunchy apple, apple skin, fizzy candy and dried leaves. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, juicy, crunchy, tangy apple, light tannin from the apple skin, quite oily, touch of tartness and pucker, some astringency from the booze and some sour candy with a dry, woody finish. Medium body, flat and oily mouth feel. Grew on me. Nice drinkability and also boost.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20200110) The cider poured deep golden and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had dried apples and light tartness. Palate was medium bodied. Flavours were dried apples, cinnamon, tartness, sweetness and tannins. Aftertaste was dry with tannins. A pleasant cider with not so low ABV.

BIAB growler fill from Caps Off, Bishop Auckland. Slightly hazy orange golden colour, no head and juicy apple aroma. Taste is sweetish, fruity, juicy apple, mellow with apple strudel notes, plus some light tartness and funk. Medium bodied, low carbonation, semi-dry finish. Nicely drinkable

Cask @ Head Of Steam, Leeds. Not the greatest name, but itโs a bright golden cider, clear, and not tasting its strength. Has a decent apple aroma and taste.
