(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 22 Nov 2018) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark rye bread, roasted grain, caramel and a touch of coffee. Malty, roasted taste with dark rye bread, caramel, dried fruit, prunes, raisins, coffee and a mild roasty bitterness. Tasty and well made with lots of flavours. Nice one.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Reddish-brown with a glow and a creamy head. Has crisp brown malts in aroma and taste which are sweetened. Has a slight sticky-sweet texture.

Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Fest: Poured a dark brown almost black with a tan head. Aroma is nice strong malt. Taste is nice hops, super balanced with malts and a sweet finish.

Cask at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Dark reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Nose of caramel, toffee, spit of orchard fruit. Flavours of toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, nuts. Very good.

16/11/2018. Cask at the Cambridge Winter Beer Festival 2018. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit and nut. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at BeerHeadz Lincoln. at 5.3%. Deep chocolate brown colour with a thick pale tan head. Aroma nutty, light citrus and hints of chocolate. Taste dry to light sweet. So smooth. Very nice

Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival 2018. Black brown colour, tan foam head and malty hoppy aroma. Taste is dark malts, roasty with mellow orange fruity hop and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable

Cask at the cock. A clear cola brown coloured pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is nutty, woody malts, autumnal notes, brown leaves, twig. Flavour is composed of layered malts, toasted nuts, cakey, brown bread, burnt cake, dried fruit, fig. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, modest condition not bad.
