250ml taster at Club Rivers, Riverwood. Light citric nose, golden amber beer with thin film on top. Bitter at first, zingy and earthy later. Finish is pine resin with a little caramel. Some tropical fruit present. Good thoughtful IPA.

Bottled 20/2. Pale amber with a little haze, an inch of white head. Aroma of peach, kumquats, pine, mango, spices, some bread crust. 7+ Lots of peach as well as citrus and spices. A tropical fruit touch that I find getting towards cloying given the restrained malt flavours. Bitterness creeps up to be quite high and there are hints of the harshness you can get with dry hopping. But pretty good.

From a 500ml bottle on 11/9/2016 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a clearish medium golden with a biggish head. The nose is pleasant enough - lightly fruity and yeasty. Taste wise, it’s mainly sweet fruit, a bit of biscuit malt, and some moderate hops. Fullish body and modest carbonation. Pleasant enough, though comes across as much a (more than decent) APA than an IPA.

Om tap at the brewery. Hazy light amber with a vaguely piney, citusy aroma. Has a decent rindy pithy bitterness, bit of orange bit floral, and a sweeter, biscuity malt character.

Keg at the Local Taphouse, Sydney on 10th September 2015. Hazy copper with off-white foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense malt aroma of biscuit and burnt toffee with a tangerine zing. Tangerine and nutty malts blend with fine grapefruit in-mouth. Finish is biscuity/nutty maltiness and fine grass and grapefruit hoppiness. Fairly well-bodied with an engaging texture.

On tap at Rainbow Hotel, Melbourne: Decent floral/pine nose. Very hop forward, but spot on for style. Not too aggressive with sufficient balance to please. Look forward to seeing more from former Riverside brewmaster.
