A dry, still cider made from a blend of apple varieties.
Pressed every year on our farm in the New Forest. We use a combination of apples from our own local orchards as well as the more traditional cider varieties from orchards we work in Herefordshire and Somerset. The result is a full-bodied blended cider, strong, still and un-pasteurised. Proper, vat-matured, scrumpy!

(Cask at King's Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 26 Nov 2022) Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, with brief head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of apples, lemon, grass, horse stable and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with apples, lemon, vinegar, barnyard, apple skin tannins and a dry finish with a generous funky acidity. More than medium body, dry. Tart, funky and quite tasty. Quite nice.

29/10/2019. Draught at the New Forest cider stall in Borough Market. 7.0%. Pours hazy orange with a small bubbly head. Aroma of moderately tart apples, light barnyard straw and sulphur. Light sweetness and tartness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Dry woody finish. Decent drop.

From barrel at Cider House, Borough Market. 7%. Orange gold colour, no head and tangy apple aroma. Taste is tangy tart apple, woody leathery funk, balsamic vinegar and drying tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

Bag in the box at Reading BF 06. Hazy gold. Nice enough cider, good apple, dary, good fleshy apple flavour. I like this, simple apple juice cider.
