Úlfrún is a tip o’ the hat to the American new-wave IPA.
Over a multi-grain fermentation of barley, wheat, rye and oats, the Mosaic, Citra and Centennial hops deliver the distinct fruitiness and trigger the tropical delight of pineapple and mango.
Ingredients: Pure Icelandic water, malted barley, malted rye, malted wheat, hops, oats and yeast.

A little plain like seeing nothing but blonde girls at the club in Reykjavik. Pours golden with a little head. Not a lot of hops. A little tangy on finish. Tap at Bryggjan.

Drucken på fat på Bishop Gustav. En frisk citruszestig lite gräsig Session IPA som känns välgjord utan att sticka ut.

Can at home in London - picked up at Offie & Toffee. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Pleasant aroma of orange rind, crisp pale malts, grapefruit, tangerine pith. Light sweet flavour with further dried pale malts, light piney bitterness, more citrus rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more notes of pine, pithy and rindy citrus, nice restrained pale malt sugars. Solid SIPA. Really drinkable.

Big offwhite head. Clear deep yellow body with light carbonation. Resiny tropical fruit aroma with wooden spicy notes. Dry tropical fruit and pineapple taste with mealy citric notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish tropical fruit and grass aftertaste with peas notes. It’s quite nice, but not exactly major. (0.33l can, from Meny Strømmen.)
