9/4/2019. Cask at the Crosse Keys, London. Pours mid to dark brown with an average sized slightly frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dried fruit, nut, toffee and chocolate. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. A little more bitterness developed. Moreish brew, easy drinker, liked this.

Cask @ JDW Shrewsbury Hotel. Pours mahogany brown, off-white cap. Aroma is light caramelised malt. Thin bodied, verging on watery, nutty brown bread, light caramel.. expected a little more body and grainy malt action for a brown ale, seems to be more in the amber camp for me.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A chestnut pour with a tight beige head; sugary malt aroma; soft and smooth in the mouth with some peachy fruit and caramel; then a bittersweet finish. Rather good.
