Polypin at Croydon Craft beer fest. The nose is big barnyard vibe, funk, must, mouldy veg, spice, apple skin, hay and dirt. The taste is bitter - tart, dry, apple skin, apple pie, barnyard, stewed pear, mild acidity, wood and light lemon sherbet with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very nice overall. Proper funk going down. Yup.

500ml bottle from Fire & Ice, Narberth. Pours hazy gold with a honeyed aroma. Taste is smooth with a faint sparkle, markedly sweet although not sickly, with some honey and vague vanilla and overripe apple flavours. Drinkable and moreish in a 5 litre tub at a folk festival kind of way.

Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival, Thursday 8th May 2014 Clear gold, quite a tang described as med/sweet by the producer but more medium, not a lot of sweetness, a real prickly appleyness. V.good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
