DOUBLE the hazelnut, DOUBLE the coffee with an extra edition of cacao and caramalts to deliver an opulent, deluxe, sumptuous, hedonistic, rich and costly consumable colossus.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Can’t get over the ratings so far for this. It’s like flat cola! Anyway. Nearly black. No head. Nose has praline. Chocolate truffle. Buttered toast. Nutella. Taste is sweet and sticky. Touch of cola bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Sticky and a little artificial, overall. Burnt bitterness and jarring sweetness to finish. Smells alright.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small darkish tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. A little soft dark malts, touch of dark malt cream. Nice touch of nuts, not bitter as in so many nutty beers. Trace of esters. Smooth but rich coffee. A pinch of spice on the end. Would have liked it to be a touch sweeter but this is a rich and rewarding beer.
