Opaque deep brown to black with a decent ivory-coloured head. Toast & roast, choholate, esters, burnt bread, hop. Light sweet & bitter. OK.

33 cl bottle bought at ECI Goya, Madrid, served in a Guinness half pint glass. A pitch dark black pour, reminiscent of tar, with a non-lacing, thick, fawn-hued head. Aroma is intense hazelnut, walnut, cocoa and espresso. Creamy and silky, but powerful, boozy, slick and long-lasting. If you sip it mindfully, you'll love it; if you binge drink it, you'll puke like hell. Your call.

EU local swap 1/19, danke teddybeer. Schokoladiger Beginn mit viel Kakao, Röstnoten, deutliche Bitterkeit. Dunkel malzig, trocken, die Bitterkeit fährt zurück. Erkennbar alkoholisch, brotig, langer malziger Nachgeschmack. 9/11/12/12/8/12

Bottle. Pours black. Very small and very unstable, yet nicely darkened head, that is eliminated from existance within seconds. Smell is full, crunchy roastyness, dark chocolate, rather intense. Taste is full, rather bitter, burnt malts, very intensely dark maltyness, dark chocolate - pure cocoa , as well as some of the dark fruity notes. Body is agreeable, but less than personally desired. Carbo is just about where it should be, compared to the body. Yes, this is a damn fine stout !
