Rich-tasting, low alcoholic lager, bitter and dry with a citrus-like fruitiness.

Passe Partout belongs to a new generation of low-alcoholic beers with great taste. Not only the use of richly used, excellent hops from America and New Zealand, but also the use of malt with low efficiency, provides the full mouthfeel and freshness. The perfect thirst quenching beer after work.

Bottle at home. Aroma is grassy hops, soft biscuit malt, straw, mild fruity, notes of citrus, light yeast, slightly floral and herbal. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter. Body is light, thinnish as can be expected considering the ABV. Still, this beer has a lot of character.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Gusher. Murky yellow golden colour, tall frothy white head, fair lacing. Aroma pale malts, grain, pear, peach, yeast. Taste light sweet and bitter, malty, grain, yeasty and earthy notes. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, malty and yeasty notes, okay.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 27 Aug 2022) Pale amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of orange, apricots, citrus and flowers. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of apricots, orange peel, resin and a balanced herbal/citric bitterness. Light body, dry. On the light side, but rich in hop character. Nice one.

A bit harsh and astringent. Especially for 3%… it’s like they tried too hard to pack flavour in that they killed the beer with bitterness. Wildeman ams

Bottle: Started to pour a golden, but then the yeast at the bottom of the bottle murked it up brown pretty bad. Head was a fluffy fingers worth of white to off white. Aroma is big fruitiness, malty. Taste is a bit mellow fruit, with some caramel and toffee malts giving it a full flavor. This one is probably a bit past it's prime but good overall.
