Bottle at home. Clear yellow golden color, white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, lightly grainy, malt bitter and light hop bitters, with a distant hint of yeast. Actually really nice. Close to a perfect example of a blonde beer if you ask me.

33 cl bottle. It pours hazy white-ish golden with a snow-white head. Aroma is cookies, latte and sublte grass. Bone dry, medium body, fizzy. Quite bitter, long-lasting.

Pours rather unclear blonde. Medium sized, stable white head. Smell is malty, fresh, relatively mild. Taste is fairly clean, relatively high bitterness. malty, fresh. Esters and phenols give away it's high fermentation - this is sold as a pils alternative - but I get the idea. Medium high to high carbo.

Light blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have cereal notes and Belgian yeast. Plain and simple.

Lichtgeel bier met stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van citrus, banaan en gras. Best goed biertje.

13/X/19 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: V/2021 - (2019-1731)

Clear blond beer, big creamy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, coriander, some banana peel, little floral, some wet grains. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, lots of coriander, bit yeasty, some citrus, fruity touch. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, spicy, banana, yeasty, bit floral, malty, technically correct, but rather boring, typical Belgian signature.

Bottle @ Convent Santa Clara, Middelburg. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Rather lively carbonation. Nose of banana, bitter hops, sweet malts. Taste is rather bitter, hoppy and dry. Grassy and long bitter finish. Not bad!

A new De Ryck beer, now that is something you don't see every day... From tap at Ghitane in Ghent during Gentse Feesten. Thick and frothy, egg-white, papery lacing, stable head on a near-clear, deep and 'metallic' golden blonde beer with slight apricot tinge and lively fizz. Aroma of old potatoes and potato juice, dried apricot, green banana, clear DMS (overcooked white cabbage), cooked beans, freshly cut grass, minerals, wet cardboard, white bread slices. Quite neutral onset, restrained in sweetness with spritzy carbonation; subdued fruitiness of green banana, unripe peach and apple peel, very slick and smooth mouthfeel, 'simplistic' cereally and very lightly bready pale maltiness, grainy and minerally finish with somewhat floral, grassy, straightforward hop bitterishness. This is even more boring than most of their other beers, which rarely excel in originality or boldness to say the least; very clearly intended as an alternative to standard pale lager, from which this blonde ale hardly differs. Way too subdued and neutral to my liking, and the cooked vegetable aspect in the nose ruined it even more for me.
