28/X/12 - 33cl bottle as "Blonde Old Strong Ale Antiek" from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: no marking on side of the label where it should be (2012-1211) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

Clear orange beer, lots of small sediment floating around under a white aery head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some citrus and honey, pretty faint actually. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: honey, some citrus, grains, dried apricots, cardboard. Aftertaste: bitter, some citrus, cornflakes, orange peel. Meh.

Medium bodied, lots of carbonation, fresh. Aromatic and fruitfull beer, basic belgian ale but that works.

Hazy gold beer, short lived white head. Light malt nose. Light soft palate, slightly dry. Nicely balanced. Soft malt, a little sour. Repressed orange and peach in the mid before some hop bitterness flares up hand in hand with spice and mild sourness. Dry finish with subtle grape and pear fruit in the aftertaste. Long bitter finish. Decent.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 11 July 2011) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange, marmalade and spices. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, coriander seeds, sugar and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, sweet. Decent, but a bit unrefined and perhaps a touch too sweet.

Not a bad taste and a pretty good smell, but not as good as the ’bruin’. The carbonation is fine though, and the alcohol is very well mixed with it. Good body.
